Application Klüber Summit PS 400
Klüber Summit PS oils have been especially designed for the lubrication of screw-type and reciprocating piston compressors. They are used for oil change intervals up to 5,000 operating hours in oil-injected screw-type compressors. Klüber Summit PS oils can be used for compressors that were previously run with conventional mineral oils. These oils are neutral towards most elastomer seals used in air compressors, therefore leakage is not to be expected. Klüber Summit PS oils are used for compressors which do not achieve the desired maintenance intervals when using mineral oils and where the use of fully synthetic oils would be uneconomical due to ingress of contamination or a low number of operating hours per year. Klüber Summit PS 100 can also be used for the lubrication of turbocompressors, whereas Klüber Summit PS 300 and 400 have been especially developed for reciprocating piston compressors. Klüber Summit PS oils offer good oxidation stability due to the synthetic base oil content, thus minimising oxidation residues in the compressors and extending oil change intervals and the service life of oil filters and separators. Special inhibitors contained in the oil keep the inside of compressors clean and ensure a high efficiency.

Cleaning oil for needles and sinkers in knitting machines
Application Klüber Silvertex R 14
Due to its low viscosity, Klüber Silvertex R 14 penetrates even very tight clearances thus reaching all the areas to be cleaned. Klüber Silvertex R 14 is a high-performance oil cleaning needles, sinkers, needle cams, needle cylinders, dials and sinker rings. It also dissolves residues from cotton or synthetic yarns in the needle slot or cam, which are flushed from the knitting machine by the oil. Klüber Silvertex R 14 may also be applied periodically by hand oiler to the needle boards, cylinders, sinker rings or dials. In the case of severe contamination by cotton or synthetic yarn residues we recommend repeating the cleaning process several times in order to dissolve and flush dirt, yarn preparation auxiliaries and fibre residues. The cleaning effect can be intensified by blowing with compressed air.

Klüber Summit SH oils can also be used for compressors that were previously run with mineral oils. They are neutral towards most elastomer seals used in air compressors, therefore leakage is not to be expected. Klüber Summit SH 32 is especially suitable for centrifugal compressors and Klüber Summit SH 100 for reciprocating piston compressors. Klüber Summit SH oils offer good oxidation stability due to the synthetic base oil, thus minimizing oxidation residues in the compressors and extending oil change intervals and the service life of oil filters and separators. Special inhibitors contained in the oils keep the inside of compressors clean. Owing to the evaporation stability of the base oil, the oil vapour content in the compressed air can be considerably reduced compared to conventional mineral oils. This contributes to a reduction of oil consumption and clean compressed air; gumming of pneumatic valves in the compressed air circuit can be prevented as well due to the low oil content of the Klüber Summit SH oils.

The product's high pressure-absorption capacity and consistent friction values over a wide temperature range ensure constant actuation forces. Test results show the product's usability for an O2 content > 21 % by vol. under operating conditions specified in the product data section of this product information leaflet.
