Klüberalfa DH 3 N can be used for the wetting of metals and synthetic material parts of various configurations. Due to their good material compatibility, these products should be your first choice for the vehicle interior. Application examples: – Contact surfaces with different material pairings in the dashboard: minimisation of unwanted noises – Impact, rubbing and sliding points inside cars, even of various material pairings – Sliding guides in the centre console, cup holder, navigation screen – Locking mechanism of trays, ventilation flaps, etc. General behaviour towards plastics and elastomers Perfluorinated polyether oils are generally regarded as neutral towards elastomers and plastics (possible exception: highly fluorinated rubber). Despite this, prior to a series application, the compatibility of the lubricant with the material with which it is to come into contact, must be confirmed.

Klüberalfa YV 93-302 is used as a lubricant for valves, fittings and installations carrying gaseous and/or liquid oxygen or in chemical installations and equipment requiring high resistance to various gases. (Conclusion by analogy based on chemical composition. We recommend users conduct their own component tests under conditions as occur in practice). The product's high pressure-absorption capacity and consistent friction values over a wide temperature range ensure constant actuation forces. Test results show the product's usability for an O2 content > 21 % by vol. under operating conditions specified in the product data section of this product information leaflet. Possible applications are: – Oxygen valves – Peripheral aggregates of chemical installations – Hose couplings, e.g. oxygen pipe connections, sliding and plain bearings, bolts, slideways, etc. – Steel and heavy industry – Assembly aid for most rubber-elastic materials and plastics – For industrial handling, maintenance and care of oxygen components Behaviour towards metal, elastomers and plastics Klüberalfa YV 93-302 is normally neutral towards metallic materials, plastics and elastomers within the given temperature range. Nevertheless, we recommend checking the compatibility of the lubricant with the materials in contact prior to its introduction.

Application Klüber Klüberalfa XZ 3-1
As solvent and detergent: Klüberalfa XZ 3-1 may be used to clean friction points prior to the application of PFPE products such as BARRIERTA L55/2. When used on clean surfaces, both the adhesion and the performance of such lubricants are significantly improved. To attain optimum lubrication results, we recommend cleaning the friction point prior to initial application first with white spirit 180/210 and then with Klüberalfa XZ 3-1. Prior to initial lubrication, the friction point should be bright (i.e. free of any residues) and free of dirt particles. As a dispersant: PFPE greases dispersed with Klüberalfa XZ 3-1 are used for minimum-quantity lubrication of bearings, chains, small gears, seals and many other components. With Klüberalfa XZ 3-1, the active substance content in dispersions of the Klüberalfa product family can be adjusted to individual needs without difficulty. Due to its high dispersive capacity, Klüberalfa XZ 3-1 is used as a flushing fluid to remove used PFPE grease from components that are difficult to clean. The cleaned surfaces remain free of grease and bright. It may be advisable to protect them against corrosion after cleaning. Food-processing and pharmaceutical industries: Klüberalfa XZ 3-1 is NSF H1 registered and therefore complies with FDA 21 CFR § 178.3570. The product was developed for incidental contact with products and packaging materials in the food-processing, cosmetics, pharmaceutical or animal feed industries. The use of Klüberalfa XZ 3-1 can contribute to increase reliability of your production processes. We nevertheless recommend conducting an additional risk analysis, e.g. HACCP.

Plastic components Klüberalfa DH 3 oils are suitable for the lubrication of both plastic components and metal-plastic sliding contact surfaces. These clear, colourless and odourless oils do not form unwanted resins. Klüberalfa DH 3 oils are generally regarded as neutral towards elastomers and plastics (possible exception: perfluorinated rubber), so no negative effect on the material is to be expected.
