Application of CASTROL RUSTILO 181

Castrol Rustilo 181 is a corrosion preventive fluid that, after evaporation, leaves behind a thin hard yet flexible film. It is ideal for providing long-term protection to products under extreme conditions.

Rustilo 181 can be used during storage and transport when you need to protect parts against corrosion for an extended period. It is suitable for all metals and can be applied by dipping, brushing/rolling, or using a spray installation.

Application HOUGHTON HOCUT 5019

HOCUT 5019 is recommended for grinding of cemented tungsten carbide tools where cobalt is used as a binder. The synthetic formula contains a special additive package to prevent dissolution of cobalt by the coolant also contains polymer lubricity additives to improve wheel life and prevent dry evaporation residues on machines. A minimum concentration of 5% is recommended.

CASTROL Performance Bio HE 32

Application CASTROL Performance Bio HE 32

Performance Bio HE is intended for use in all hydraulic systems, where there is a risk that leaking fluid will contaminate ground water and the sewage system, such as in earthmoving machinery, refuse collection lorries, agricultural and forestry machinery, rail vehicles, presses and wrapping machines. Thanks to the carefully selected base oil, it can be used up to +120 °C. The viscosity index has a high value which means that the viscosity of the product depends relatively little on the temperature. The environmentally friendly nature, measured according to the CEC L-33-A-93 test is >90%. Performance Bio HE is not miscible with water. Performance Bio HE is miscible with hydraulic fluids based on mineral oil and vegetable or synthetic esters. Nevertheless, when switching from mineral oil based hydraulic fluids to Performance Bio HE it is recommended to empty the system completely as mixing with mineral oil reduces biodegradability and may lead to foaming problems. Performance Bio HE meets the requirements according to VDMA 24568 for a HEES (Hydraulic Environmental Ester Synthetic).

Houghton MWS Additive AF 2290

MWS Additive AF 2290 is an effective defoamer for water-containing mineral oils and mineral oil-free cooling lubricants. 

Properties

MWS Additive AF 2290 is usually at a concentration of 0.01 - 0.02% . 

Before each new addition is necessary to wait until a thorough mixing has occurred.

The defoamers should be added as long as until a sufficient foam collapse occurred (use concentration max. 0.05%). 

The defoamer is premixed with water or used as an emulsion.
