Improved Corrosion Protection
Shell PANOLIN VCP helps prevent corrosion above the oil level, in humid environments or exposed areas.
Reduced Environmental Impact
Shell PANOLIN VCP is suitable for use in ecologically sensitive areas. It is more than 60% biodegradable after 28 days (OECD 301 B) and has low ecotoxicity according to OECD and EPA standards. All Shell PANOLIN products are tested by an independent laboratory according to OECD 202.
Versatile Applications
Shell PANOLIN VCP can be added to gearbox or hydraulic oil, or used directly via immersion, spraying or brushing.
Compatibility and Miscibility of Shell PANOLIN VCP
Shell PANOLIN fluids are miscible with mineral oils. To preserve the biodegradable properties, systems must be drained and flushed beforehand. After switching, it is advised to submit an oil sample for analysis via the Shell LubeAnalyst Service.
Health, Safety and Environment of Shell PANOLIN VCP
When used as directed and in accordance with good hygiene practices, Shell PANOLIN VCP presents no significant health or safety risks. Avoid skin contact and wear oil-resistant gloves. Refer to the safety data sheet at https://www.epc.shell.com.
Protect the Environment
Dispose of used oil through an authorized waste handler. Prevent spills into sewers, soil or surface water.
Application and Dosage of Shell PANOLIN VCP
Recommended dosage: 0.5–1% as a booster for hydraulic or gearbox oil. For direct protection, add at least 10%. Mix thoroughly before use and heat up to a maximum of 40°C.
