Houghton Sitala A 400

A new generation of amine and boric acid-free water-miscible metalworking fluids, recommended for general machining on a wide range of metals including all kind of Aluminium alloys.

SITALA A 400 is a medium duty emulsifiable, boron and amine-free metalworking fluid forming a stable macroemulsion based on high quality mineral oil and polar lubricity additives.

Applications:

SITALA A 400 is recommended for medium machining and grinding operations on a wide range of material including, cast iron, low to medium alloyed steels and aluminium. A non-staining, low alkalinity formula also makes it suitable for machining yellow metals.

The product is designed for soft to medium hardness and for use in single sump machines.

It is not normally used in large central systems.

Houghton Garia SL 601

It is a cutting oil often used in micro screw feeders.

Houghton Ensis DW 6055 (Previous Ensis 6062 and Ensis TX & Ensis V)

Properties

ENSIS DW 6055 is a blend of dearomatised solvent, and carefully selected performance additives which provide up to 60 months indoor protection and several months outdoor protection.

ENSIS DW 6055 is a premium quality dewatering rust preventive and exhibits a waxy film, which resists peeling and cracking, neutralizes fingerprints and can be removed if required.

ENSIS DW 6055 is effective on ferrous and non-ferrous metal. It is Barium free.

Houghton Ensis DW 2462 (formerly Shell Ensis SX)

Ensis DW2462 is a rust inhibitor with drainage properties for medium protection

Ensis DW 2462 is a rust inhibitor with a medium-term protection duration (up to 24 months within storage). Ensis DW 2462 is a solvent-based anti-rust agent with dewatering properties that, after evaporation of the solvent, leaves a temporary waxy film on the metal surfaces to be protected.
Ensis DW 2462 protects metal parts in an efficient way against the damaging effects of humidity, air, detergents and other contaminants. Ensis DW 2462 can be applied by means of immersion or spraying.

Grotanol SR2

Properties

Grotanol SR 2 is efficient against microbiological accumulation (bio-films) in systems and has an excellent immediate efficiency against bacteria, yeasts and fungi. Additionally, grotanol SR 2 has anticorrosive and low-foaming properties.

High concentrated and free of water.

Effective even in very low use-concentrations.

Usable for all steel-, copper and aluminium alloys.

Suitable for low to medium alcalic medium (pH 8 - 11)

Contains no organically bound chlorine (has no effect on the AOX value).

Houghton Garia 601 M-12

Properties

GARIA 601 M-12 is based on hydro treated mineral oil with low aromatic content. A combination of polar, extreme pressure and anti-wear additives provide the oil with high load carrying properties. The oil provides good surface finish of the machined work pieces

Garia 601 M-12 and M-22 are neat cutting oils for machining of high alloy steels (stainless,heat resistant, austenitic, etc.) and aluminium ormagnesium alloys.

The oils show excellent results in working with many difficult operations like broaching, deep-hole drilling, tapping, shaping,and shaving of gears.

• Garia 601 M-12 and M-22 products are also very good grinding oils.
• Garia 601 M-12 and M-22 contain active sulphur - there is a risk of staining of yellow metals.
• Garia 601 M-12 and M22 are free of chlorine and heavy metals.

Approved by Kay's Engineering (Eldorado machines) for gun drilling.

Houghton Macron 400 M-32

Properties

Macron 400 M-32 is based on hydro treated mineral oil with low aromatic content. A combination of polar, extreme pressure and anti-wear additives provide the oil with high load carrying properties. The oil provides good surface finish of the machined work pieces.

Macron 400 M-32 is free from zinc, chlorine and active sulphur.

Applications

Macron 400 M-32 is a high performance cutting oil for operations on light and medium alloyed steels, aluminium and yellow metals.

Macron 400 M-32 has multipurpose oil characteristics for cutting and hydraulic oil HLP DIN 51524-2 and gear oil CLP DIN 51517-3.

It has a good de-aeration power, does not foam and is not aggressive for the paints on machine tools.

MACRON 400 M-32 is based on hydro treated mineral oil with low aromatic content. A combination of polar, extreme pressure and anti-wear additives provide the oil with high load carrying properties. The oil provides good surface finish of the machined work pieces.

MACRON 400 M-32 is free from zinc, chlorine and active sulphur.

MACRON 2429 S-8 is free from zinc, chlorine and active sulphur.

Applications

MACRON 2429 S-8 main application is for grinding cemented carbide with diamond wheels. The product is also suitable for grinding steel with CBN and ceramic wheels at high cutting speeds. The selection of additives along with low viscosity allows finest filtration even below 1 pm mesh.

MACRON 2429 S-8 is inhibited against leaching of cobalt.
